Fun Day
Thank you to everyone who attended our Fun Day on Saturday despite the weather. It was a great success and we raised a staggering £1966.90. This is a fantastic fundraising start for our new outdoor learning spaces.
Open Morning
Our next Open Morning is on Wednesday 22nd May from 10am to 12pm. This will be an opportunity for prospective parents and professionals who work in other schools, colleges, nurseries and children’s centres to visit the school. Parents and carers are also very welcome to attend.
Comic Relief
Thank you to everyone who donated in aid of Comic Relief. There were lots of Red Nose activities throughout the day and all the children enjoyed wearing their red noses. See pictures below:
Croydon Secondary School Awards
On Thursday 7th March, the Croydon Secondary School Awards were hosted at the Fairfield Halls to celebrate the efforts and achievements of students across the borough’s secondary schools. Twenty of our secondary pupils attended and received awards. During the interlude there was an opportunity for the audience to watch a DVD featuring our students performing to the music of True Colours. Two of our pupils, Shaun White & Touran Bourhoveizavi, gave a vote of thanks to close the occasion.
Valentine Disco 2013
St Giles held its annual Valentine Disco on Saturday 9th February. It was a great success and wonderful to see all the children enjoying themselves. A big thank you to everyone who attended – we raised £156. Please take a look at some pictures taken on the night below.
Rebound Therapy
This is a form of assisted trampolining which is used to facilitate movement, promote balance, promote an increase or decrease in muscle tone, promote relaxation, promote sensory integration, improve fitness and exercise tolerance and to improve communication skills. Our PMLD classes have been using these facilities for the past few weeks and the children have thoroughly enjoyed it.
