The mini bus has been sold. Due to changes to emission regulations our bus would no longer have been economically viable to run. Last term we managed to raise £25,000 towards our new bus. We have submitted our application for a new bus from Lord Taverners. We will keep you updated when we have more of an idea of when this is likely to arrive.

All pupils attending our school have a physical disability, complex medical needs or Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
Specialist School Status
In July 2009 the school achieved Specialist School Status in physical and sensory need.

The aim of St. Giles School is to provide the best possible education and experiences to our pupils, and a Primary and Secondary education comparable to that offered to children of similar age and ability in mainstream schools.
The school has developed a service, in partnership with Croydon PCT, to provide advice for pupils with communication or access difficulties in mainstream schools.

We support Croydon Local Authority’s policy that the special educational needs of most pupils can be met in mainstream schools but that some pupils can only benefit from the expertise, skills and services that are available within a specialist school environment such as ours.
Visits and placements from mainstream and other special school colleagues are welcomed. The school also runs specific workshops which are advertised to Croydon schools and other education providers when available.
