We support Croydon Local Authority’s policy that the special educational needs of most pupils can be met in mainstream schools but that some pupils can only benefit from the expertise, skills and services that are available within a specialist school environment such as ours.

Visits and placements from mainstream and other special school colleagues are welcomed. The school also runs specific workshops which are advertised to Croydon schools and other education providers when available.

The school has excellent medical and therapy provision to ensure that the holistic needs of our pupils are being met.

There are nurses and healthcare assistants on the school site at all times whilst the pupils are in school. The staff manage the medical needs of the pupils, including suctioning, gastrostomy and trachaeostomy care, catheterisation and epilepsy.

The Occupational Therapy team are involved in the assessment, provision and advice of specialist equipment for individual pupils, such as upper limb splints, seating, toileting and feeding
